The Windsor Classical Guitar Ensemble's winter concert has happened. The ensemble played 12 pieces, either together or as solos. The pieces played included Galliard and Mr George Whitehead’s Almain, both by Holborne, Spanish Dance by Granados and the hauntingly beautiful Farewell to Stromness by Peter Maxwell Davies.

This is only the second concert for the ensemble yet was very well attended, showing that word is getting out for one of Windsor's newest and most exciting musical ventures.

The concert was free, but a voluntary collection for charity was taken at the door, and an amazing £200 was raised for charity, which will go to the Samaritans of Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead. Thank you to those to gave so generously.

Music included the ensemble playing four pieces, including Carol of the Bells by Mykola Leontovych and Le Onde by Ludovico Einaudi, plus four solo pieces played by the members of WCGE.

The concert was free, but a voluntary collection for charity was taken at the door, and £105 was raised for charity. The Guitar Ensemble selected the Marlow Opportunity Playgroup as the charity to be supported by this concert. Thank you to those to gave so generously.
